Refresh Button Missing from Graph Exploration Panel in GraphStudio

It seems that in TigerGraph version V4.0 and beyond, the Refresh Button is missing in the the Graph Exploration Panel (also missing in the Write Query Result Panel). I don’t know if this is by design, or if this something that got overlooked in updating GraphStudio.

In either case, it would be nice to get the refresh button back, as it is needed to update the graph for ad-hoc queries.

Hi @demit733 ,

Thank you for letting us know! I assumed you meant that you don’t see the “refresh” button on pages like in the image below (for TG v4.0 and above)

But you do see the “refresh” button in TG v3.10 or 3.X version, as seen below:

Let me ask our Engineering team about this. In the meantime, I think you should be able to do something like clicking on the “hide” icon (the icon with a line crossing the eye) and then run the query again or something like that.

It would also be helpful if you let us know what you meant by " it is needed to update the graph for ad-hoc queries."

Hi Jim,

I assumed you meant that you don’t see the “refresh” button on pages like in the image below (for TG v4.0 and above)

Yes, that is correct, the image in TG v3.10 or 3.X version, lower left hand corner, has the “refresh” icon above the keyboard icon.

What I meant by “ad-hoc queries,” is the ability to double click on a vertex and expand the nodes, those expanded nodes don’t always have the associated attributes displayed. In the TG v3.10 or 3.X version, I was able to refresh the graph diagram and then see all the attribute values.

Hope this helps,
