Cluster Scale-Out

Dear, i need to add new nodes on my tigergraph cluster. By follow documentation, i am trying this command:
gbar expand <node_alias_1>:<ip_1>,<node_alias_1>:<ip_2>,…,<node_alias_n>:<ip_n>

but i am getting this error:

tigergraph@tigergraph-01 : ~ $ gbar expand tigergraph-04:192.168.166.216
Parse command failed, action expand not supported

How can i do to add new node ?

TigerGraph version is 3.0.5

Where is your cluster deployed? Which edition are you using (developer or enterprise)? How many nodes do you already have?

Hi,
Our cluster is deployed on ubuntu for test. we are using enterprise. we have 3 nodes, we want to add 1 node and to test if we can also decrease the number of nodes from 4 to 3.

Why tigergraph document can’t give the detail to add additional nodes. We are working to do some test before deployment in production.

This is a known issue. https://docs.tigergraph.com/faqs/release-notes-tigergraph-3.0#system-management-2

you cannot do automated cluster scale out. It needs some manual steps.That’s why, you need to follow support steps.
