Need docs on angle brackets used in FROM clause

I need documentation describing how these angle brackets are used “< >” as shown in the screenshot below. I have searched high and low for a description.

Thanks Jon, good link. So in short, the open end points to the source and the closed end points to the target. I’ll continue to review this page to digest it.
